Fourth Quarter Blog
A)In this year during April, I worked on my first job
which was in my aunt’s office. I wanted to work there because my aunt’s job is working
out accounts which are related to my major in college, business of
administration. My aunt gave me some easy works to start with such as helping her
calculate and counting the receipts. When I saw my aunt and her workers, I felt
that this work is really difficult and needs a lot of hard work. Therefore, I
hope I can be like my aunt that’s good at earning money and maintaining good
interpersonal relations.
B)From my experience, I suggest students to choose and
apply for colleges as soon as possible. It would be a great time to choose your
college and research it during the summer when you’re going to twelfth grade.
After you choose some colleges and make it into a list, find the dates that the
application starts and when are the deadlines. It would be nice to begin
filling the application when it opens and try to do everything as soon as
possible so you don’t need to rush through it before you graduate. Also, if you
have any problems about applications or colleges, you can ask school councilors
or teachers for help. Last but not least, check your email at least three times
a week to make sure if the colleges send some important messages or
announcements to you so you can work on further instructions.
C)My plans for the summer are to borrow and study some
business books from the library to prepare me for college. Also, I’m planning to go to Japan in the
middle of June with my cousins to visit my uncle in Tokyo. Furthermore, I will
be heading to Irvine, California in the beginning of September with my parents
to visit my college and then travel to San Diego to visit my aunt and cousins. I will stay in San Diego for a week and then
go back to Irvine to attend the freshman orientation in the middle of
September. My parents will be traveling back to Taiwan the day before my school
starts and it will be the time that I’m starting to do everything all in my own
and learn how to be more independent.
